Histon are hit for six
The Woods were in goalscoring form this evening as they hit six goals without reply against struggling Histon at Northwood Park in an Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central fixture. It was Northwood's highest score since Chertsey were beaten 8-3 three years ago.
It took a while for the first goal to arrive, but on 31 minutes, an exce
llent free-kick from Louis Stead curled into top corner, then five minutes from half-time Ryan Debattista shot home the second. And there was still time before the break for Luke Heneghan to net his first goal for the club.
Northwood did not let up in the second half, and substitute Ismael Ehui fired in number four in the 71st minute. Four minutes later Louis Stead was brought down, and he netted the resulting spot-kick, 75m. The scoring was wrapped up a few minute later when an excellent drive by Louis Bircham went in off the post.
The match report is here; the full colour matchday programme, both printed and electronic, can still be ordered online from our publications section.

Northwood take the points at Petersfield
Northwood took the points with a 2-1 Evo-Stik Southern League victory at Petersfield Town this afternoon, all the goals coming after the break.
Louis Stead put the Woods ahead from the penalty spot on 55 minutes when Callum Wright was brought down after a good run, and ten minutes later it was Stead who again found the net, this time from a free-kick that the Petersfield keeper could only push into the roof of the net.
Petersfield's consolation goal came from the penalty spot three minutes into stoppage time. The match report and photos are here. Northwood's Under 21s were defeated 3-0 by Ascot United in a Suburban League fixture at Chestnut Avenue.

Aylesbury United share points with Woods
Northwood returned to Chestnut Avenue for the first time in almost three weeks this afternoon, but they had to settle for a share of the Evo-Stik Southern League points after a 1-1 draw aga
inst Aylesbury United.
It was a close-fought and entertaining encounter, in which the Woods went ahead on 35 minutes through Ryan Debattista after some fine build-up play. But the Ducks equalised after the break when Sonny French made the most of a defensive slip. The match report and photos are here.
The full colour matchday programme, and the electronic version, can still be ordered online from our publications section, priced £2.50 and £1.25 respectively.

Friendly draw as Burgo makes signings
Northwood drew 1-1 in a friendly at Combined Counties Leaguers Bedfont & Feltham yesterday evening, with Louis Bircham on target for Mark Burgess' squad.
The Woods' boss has added to his squad this week with the signings of French brothers Ismael and Joakim Ehui from Hayes & Yeading United. Both have worn the club's colours in the past, and go into the squad for Saturday's home game against Aylesbury United.
Burgo commented: "We have brought in Ismael and Joakim Ehui, two players who were with us previously, and I am hoping that before the Aylesbury United game we will have managed to bring in a couple of further additions to the squad.”

Northwood are beaten at Dunstable
The Woods returned to action after a two-week break today, but went down 3-1 at promoted AFC Dunstable in an Evo-Stik Southern League fixture.
The home side went ahead just after the half-hour, but Ryan Debattista headed home Julian Smith's cross for a deserved equaliser just before the break. However, two goals in the second period won the points for AFC Dunstable, who are enjoying a good first season at this level. The match report and photos are here. Woods Under 21 side lost 3-1 at London Colney in a Suburban League fixture.
Mark Burgess takes his squad to Bedfont & Feltham for a friendly on Tuesday evening, kick-off 7.30 p.m.
