Keeper Henry scores late winner as U18s lift Allieds title

Northwood’s Under 18s needed to win their final Allied Counties League game of the season last night in order to pip their opponents Tring Athletic to the league title. Into stoppage-time, the game was still goalless, which meant that Tring would win the league.
But then, in the final minute the Woods won a corner and goalkeeper Henry Ford, who had come up to help, lashed the ball into the net to secure Northwood’s 1-0 victory – and the title!
Many congratulations to manager Jamie Barry, in his first season in the role, his coaching staff – and the players!!!

The Woods will now play away to Badshot Lea or Marlow in the Champions Cup, to be played in the week commencing 12th May.
