Ryan Young’s side got off to a great start in their semi-final of the Isthmian Youth League Cup at home to the Metropolitan Police with two early goals, scored by Tom Reid and Fabjan Toci, giving them a great advantage.
However, the visitors were a good side and gradually grew into the game. They pulled one back before half-time and then levelled the scores four minutes into the second-half.
The Mets then got a crucial third goal on 68 minutes and suddenly the Woods were now chasing the game.
Northwood went close a couple of times but it was the Police that secured the tie with a fourth goal on 81 minutes.
