The Woods made a good start to this with plenty of action in the final third. A free-kick was just over the bar, another shot was cleared off the line, Noah Softleigh-Moore fired wide and the Tom Reid's shot skimmed the post. Yet, on 26 minutes, the home side were in front as a corner caused a problem and the ball was scrambled over the line.

Thankfully, Northwood were soon back on level terms after 34 minutes as Reid switched play to full-back James Payne who cut in and let fly with a left-foot strike that levelled the scores and was his first goal for the club.

Reid went close again early in the second-half and then, on 50 minutes, a great passing move involving Ben Crowder and Reid saw the latter slam home the ball to put the Woods in front.

The crucial third goal came after 69 minutes when the Referee played a good advantage which allowed substitute Fabjan Toci race through on goal and bury his shot.

It was the Woods first away win in the League of the season but there was a tougher clash waiting later in the week, at home to title challengers Camberley Town.
