The Woods played out an entertaining draw in the surroundings of Grosvenor Vale, home of National League side Wealdstone, twice coming back from a goal down to eventually lead, only to miss out to a late penalty.
The Stones were just one place above Northwood in the table but started like a train and could have had a few goals in the first twenty minutes but for a couple of fine saves from Christos Christofi in goal.
As it was, they only got one and this was then cancelled out by a debut strike from 15-year-old Tai Wheeler who thumped one home from just inside the box.
Wealdstone went ahead again though and it took a good strike from leading scorer Will Robinson to level things up again and then skipper Lewis Batten got on target for the second week running with a header that made it 3-2.
Having beaten the Stones back at Northwood earlier in the season, hopes raised for a “double” but that was quashed when the home side were awarded a penalty and they squared things up once more.
