The Woods continued their improved form away from home as they picked up another important point against mid-table Hampton & Richmond Borough.

It was Oscar John who put the Woods ahead in the first ten minutes with his ninth goal of the season. It brings him level with Will Robinson in the race for the side’s Golden Boot with five matches left to play!

Unfortunately, the Beavers did pull level soon after this but from then on it was a real battle with the Woods defence, for once, managing to repel the home side’s attacks.

It was only the second time this season that they managed to keep the opposition down to just the one goal – that much coveted “clean sheet” remains elusive so far.

In the end the side were happy to come away with a point with a 1-1 draw which gives them a good chance of getting above Wealdstone in the games to come.

These last couple of games have given the management team the opportunity to try out several of the Woods current Under-16 Sunday players and they certainly haven’t let anyone down so far with both Tai Wheeler and Max Lousley starting this game and three others being on the bench with two coming on in the game.
