After the horror show away at Uxbridge in the previous fixture, five changes were made to the starting line up at home to Camberley Town.
A much-improved performance was needed and after only ten minutes Will Robinson got Woods off to a great start after running through one on one with the keeper and coolly slotting the ball past him.
Northwood should have pushed onwards and upwards but it was only a matter of time before their opponents had equalised and then very quickly gone in front with two goals in the space of ten minutes.
Woods really needed a response now and just before half time Oscar John ran onto a good ball from debutant Gradi Nkalu and from an acute angle finished well into the bottom corner of the net.
The second half started well and the Woods had a couple of half chances but against the run of play Camberley went up the other end and punished Northwood with a good goal.
At this point and with thirty minutes to go, the visitors took control of the game and made sure of the three points with a fourth goal. All in all, a much better performance but still a scoreline that left the side deflated.
