Northwood Under 18s’ traditional slow start had them on the back foot for the first ten minutes at Camberley Town. Then just as Northwood started to show their true colours with some great play, the home side suddenly broke down the left hand side and cut the ball back to the edge of the box, where Maurice Black fired in after 15 minutes.
Camberley had their next chance soon after but some brave goalkeeping from Dan Daggett, diving at the feet of the oncoming forward, produced a great save.
The rest of the first half was very tight from both teams.
In the second half Northwood came out all guns blazing and producing some fantastic football. There were good chances from Adam Wais and Eric Nyarko and these were all close, especially Eric Nyarko's header in the 55th minute, which cannoned off the bar.
It wasn't long after that Northwood produced the move of the match down the left hand side, the ball being crossed in for Ricky Brown to tuck it away and level the scores.
Sixty minutes gone and Northwood were the better team, keeping the pressure on Camberley's defence and in the 71st minute they were rewarded with a goal from Dave Palmer who converted with a strong header at the back post.
The side worked really hard through to the final whistle but were unlucky to concede a late equaliser when the home side scored through Maurice Black again in the 93rd minute and escaped with a 2-2 draw.
