A very strong and experienced Royston Town team - their first team were without a fixture - was a very stern test for the young Northwood reserve side.

Some early Royston pressure was dealt with very well by the Northwood defence, in particular Dira Ejibe in goal. Northwood only created a couple of first half chances, one falling to Regan Tobun the other to Aron Ruszel.

The second half was a different story, with the Woods dominating possession and they should have scored at the end when Harry Smart headed down towards goal with the goalkeeper making an excellent save.

A draw against a very good Royston team was a good result for Northwood.
