The Woods played their first fixture at the Fenton Civil Engineering Stadium for almost nine months, when they took on Chesham United of the Southern League Premier Division South in a pre-season friendly.
The Buckinghamshire visitors took an early lead, and the game was a very useful work-out for both sides.
New Northwood manager Ben Murray gave run-outs to several triallists, as well as giving game time to his squad, but Chesham wrapped up their victory with a second goal late in the game.
