With several players on their holidays and a couple rested with slight niggles, Manager Scott Dash went into this game with plenty of triallists to have another look at while a couple of signed players made their first appearance.

With Kweku Lucan deployed in a fairly unfamiliar right wing-back position, the Woods got off to a flying start as he cut in and burst through to score an early opening goal, his second in two games this season.

But the lead lasted no time at all as a hopeful strike from Curtis Finch eluded Rob Partington in goal and put Baldock level.

The Woods struggled to get a grip in central midfield but still looked most likely to add to their tally during the first-half. Lucan missed a couple of further opportunities, looking to blast his finishes rather than place them.

Marley Hamilton was frustrated by a series of offside flags while Alex Witham forced the goalkeeper into a save from a free-kick.

At the other end, Sacha M'Baye marshalled his young defensive partners well and kept chances for the hosts at a premium.

There had been a couple of unnecessary challenges during the first-half but it got worse in the second period and it developed into a very niggly forty-five minutes. The Woods had introduced five more triallists and play rarely flowed. The few chances that came the way of the Woods saw finishes that lacked any composure at it was not great viewing.
