NORTHWOOD MARCH ON
HARROW ST MARY’S 1  NORTHWOOD 5

Northwood marched on to the final of the Harrow and Wembley Senior Cup for the first time in three attempts after putting away old rivals Harrow St Mary.

Dodd took advantage of a defensive slip to put Northwood ahead but good defensive work by St. Mary prevented any further score in the first half.

St. Mary remained undaunted, but Northwood were in no mood to give anything away and within the next ten minutes they had the game sewn up with two goals from Sanders.

Byrne headed a fine fourth goal before St. Mary hit back, but Horsford sealed it with a perfect goal from 30 yards.

Northwood Reserves took the bite out of Hanwell Town "A" to win 3-0 with goals from T. Roche, P. Roche and Swallow.
