NORTHWOOD CUP EXIT
LARKSPUR ROVERS 3 NORTHWOOD 2
In a Harrow & Wembley League Senior Cup semi-final Northwood ,playing against Premier Division opposition, took a long time to settle down.
After a goalmouth scramble Larkspur took the lead. Another setback soon followed when a disputed decision by the referee left Larkspur a penalty, from which they scored.
Northwood began to fight back, and Jackman battled like two men. First the bar and then a goal-line clearance robbed Northwood of the goal they richly deserved.
Northwood fought for everything in the second half, and centre-half Kaufman scored with a neat header.
Although Northwood were dominating the game, Larkspur always looked dangerous and they made it 3-1 with 15 minutes of the second half gone.
With twenty minutes left right-winger Gould headed Northwood’s second, but despite a great deal of effort, the equaliser never came.
