With two weeks to go before the Pitching In Isthmian League campaign gets underway, the Woods went down 3-1 in a friendly at Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division outfit Colney Heath this afternoon.

Several triallists were included in the squad, and there was a senior debut for Under 18s forward Ben Crowder. Northwood's goal was a cracking 20-yard free-kick by Jack Smith, but that was as good as it got for Ben Bukowski's team.

The squad was: Andrew McCorkell (Matt Messer 46m), Teddy Stacey, Triallist A, Triallist B, Luke Tingey (Harry Gallagher 60m), Harry Gallagher (Triallist D 46m), Ben Crowder, Kofi Anokye Boadi, Triallist C (Triallist E 46m), Jack Smith (Carl Stewart 46m), Osaretin Otote (Triallist C 77m).
