Left-back Gilbert joined the Woods in October 2009 from Beaconsfield Sycob, to where he moved in the summer after having previously played at AFC Hayes.

The Ghanaian defender started his non-League career with Harefield United and also played for Cove, Hayes, Bracknell Town and Fisher Athletic.
