Steve managed Woods from January 1996 to October 1997, and made a handful of appearances during that time, scoring in the Middlesex Senior Cup win over Conference side Hayes in February 1997.

In a long playing career, he made over 500 appearances in midfield for Harrow Borough Borough, and also played at Watford, Hayes, Chesham United, Harlow Town, Maidenhead United, Molesey, Hitchin Town and Berkhamsted Town.
