The Woods romped to an 8-0 success over West Division side Burnham in this Allied Counties League Cup tie.

The game was pretty much all over inside the first ten minutes as Alex Grant, Tom Reid and Londin Latifi all netted to put the Woods 3-0 up against an opposition who were looked off the pace.

Jayden Williams bagged his first goal for the club and then Ethan Bradford scored to make it 5-0 after only half an hour. It remained that way until half-time and soon after the break Grant scored his second.

There had been four changes at half-time as the Woods management looked to give plenty of players a good run-out and one of these, Ben Crowder, pounced for his first of the season on his second sub appearance following injury whilst playing for the first team.

There was a penalty awarded for handball with just over ten minutes left and it was another of the subs, Harrison Clemow, who converted that to make it 8-0. Grant was then denied a hat-trick as a shot came back off the crossbar late in the game.
