Kings Langley started the game very well and were much sharper to the ball and very quick in possession. They had plenty of chances, and only the brilliance of Bogdan in goal kept Woods on level terms. In the 30th minute the deadlock was broken when Kings Langley went one-up, and just before half-time they doubled their lead with a fairly soft goal.
Northwood made a lot of changes at half-time and went from 4-3-3 to 5-3-2 and played a lot better, but unfortunately against the run of play Kings Langley made it 3-0.
However, Woods, didn’t give up and got back into their stride and pulled a goal back from a great free kick by Mayvin Vigneswaren. Northwood were rewarded once again with a goal from Josh Beckles.
The home side went up the other end against the run of play and were given a penalty. Bogdan made a fantastic save but Kings slotted in the rebound.
With 10 minutes to go Will Robinson was rewarded for his tireless work when he netted Woods’ third goal. However, with time running out they couldn’t get the equaliser the second half performance deserved.
