A trip to second-placed Beaconsfield Town on their new 3G pitch was always going to be tough for the Under 18s, and the Woods
got off to a very slow start, finding themselves 3-0 down inside the first twenty minutes.
But the reaction to that was a good one and some impressive attacking play saw Will Robinson score twice, and have a third ruled out for what looked a poor offside decision.
By the half-time break it was 3-2, and all to play for.
For the first fifteen to twenty minutes of the second half,
the Woods continued to press and there were further chances for Robinson and for his strike partner Oscar John but they were just unable to grab an equaliser.
The attacking left the defence unprotected, though,
and when the home side finally bagged a fourth goal, the Woods lost their shape and the game was swiftly put to bed by a rampant Beaconsfield side.
This was despite a couple of fine last-ditch saves from Costas Christofis in goal and a goal-line clearance.
