Northwood’s Under 18s needed to win their final Allied Counties League game of the season last night in order to pip their opponents Tring Athletic to the league title.
Into stoppage-time, the game was still goalless, which meant that Tring would win the league.
But then, in the final minute the Woods won a corner and goalkeeper Henry Ford, who had come up to help, lashed the ball into the net to secure Northwood’s 1-0 victory – and the title!
Many congratulations to manager Jamie Barry, in his first season in the role, his coaching staff – and the players!!!
