The Woods' disappointing Pitching In Isthmian League South Central run continued this afternoon when they were beaten 2-4 away to Uxbridge in a game played at Slough Town.

Northwood trailed by two goals at the interval, before Dan Williams pulled one back in the 56th minute. After Uxbridge restored their two-advantage, Sam Jenkins quickly made it 3-2. Woods then had the chance to level but Jack Smith's spot-kick was well saved and minutes later the home side wrapped up the points.

There have been some alterations to the Woods’ Pitching In Isthmian League fixtures, as a result of Westfield’s continuing involvement in the FA Trophy. The home game against the Surrey outfit has been moved to Tuesday 14th November, and we will now play Chipstead at The Skyline Roofing Stadium on the original date, Saturday 7th October. That was originally scheduled to be played in March.

Additionally, Northwood have been drawn at home to Badshot Lea in the third round of the Velocity Cup; the tie will be played on Tuesday 24th October.

Meanwhile, Northwood Under 18s maintained their 100% start to their Allied Counties Youth League campaign yesterday evening, defeating Wembley 2-0 at The Skyline Roofing Stadium. Substitute Fabjan Toci put the Woods ahead on 63 minutes and Everton Lewis grabbed the second in the 79th minute on his debut.

Northwood went down to a 2-1 Pitching In Isthmian League South Central defeat this evening away to Hanworth Villa.

The Woods led through Dan Williams' third goal of the season after 20 minutes, but before the break the referee had awarded the home side two dubious penalties - that's becoming a theme of our season! - and both were converted.

There were no further goals, so Hanworth took the points and moved above Northwood in the table. The match report and photos are here.

The club took a stand today at the Moor Park 10k Fun Run, which was in aid of Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.

It was great to promote the club, and in a marvellous cause too!

The Woods slumped to a disappointing return to Pitching In Isthmian League South Central fixtures this afternoon after a run of six cup ties, when they went down 3-1 to Ashford Town at The Skyline Roofing Stadium.

Although Northwood enjoyed good possession at the start despite their midweek extra time FA Cup exit, with boss Ben Bukowski forced to make a number of changes to his starting line-up, but the home side were unable to make the breakthrough, and instead it was Ashford who went ahead on 20 minutes.

Romario Jonas netted the equaliser as half-time approached to raise Woods' hopes, but just on the whistle the visitors scored their second. And when after the break the referee awarded Ashford a very dubious penalty, which was despatched, there was no way back for Northwood.

Northwood's hopes of further Emirates FA Cup glory ended for the season in South London this evening when Ben Bukowski's battling side were defeated 3-4 by Cray Valley (PM) in an action-packed game which went to extra time.

Saturday's first meeting showed that the sides were closely matched, and the replay, like that game, ebbed and flowed. Harry Gallagher got on the scoresheet twice, and skipper Luke Tingey also netted, but the 99th minute goal from Cray Valley substitute Adam Coombes meant that his side will travel to Carshalton in the next round.

Northwood and Cray Valley (PM) will have to try again on Tuesday evening after today's Emirates FA Cup second qualifying round tie between the sides at the Skyline Roofing Stadium ended in a 2-2 draw.

Cray Valley led twice, but were pegged back by the Woods on each occasion. Kyrell Lisbie gave Cray a fifth minute lead, quickly levelled by Riccardo Alexander-Greenaway, then Dan Williams answered the visitors' second goal from Freddie Parker. So it's back to London SE in midweek!

Northwood moved into the third round of Velocity Cup - the Isthmian League Cup - this evening, when they defeated Marlow 2-1 at The Skyline Roofing Stadium.

Despite making eight changes from Saturday's side, the Woods were two-up at the break, Osaretin Otote and Jaden Newman on target. Marlow pulled a goal back on 88 minutes, but Northwood held on to progess in the competition despite nine minutes added time.

Northwood Under 18s got their Allied Counties League season off to a flier yesterday evening, with a 5-1 win at Hillingdon Borough - Sarin Thapa (2), Alex Grant, Tom Reid and Jamie Dwyer all finding the net. Match report is here.

Northwood's visit to the seaside today ended in disappointment, as their Isuzu F.A. Trophy first qualifying round tie away to Ramsgate resulted in a 3-0 defeat, and an exit at the first hurdle.

The Woods were not helped by the loss of influential skipper Luke Tingey through injury with just 11 minutes played, and the home side went ahead less than two minutes later. They had added two more to their score by the interval, and that was how it finished.

There was a thrilling end to tonight's Emirates FA Cup replay at The Skyline Roofing Stadium against Binfield. The tie was in stoppage time and looking to be heading for penalties when Dan Williams worked some magic on the right before laying the ball across for Carl Stewart to slam into the net - just his second goal for the club - cue the celebrations!!

It was a close and hard-fought encounter against a Binfield outfit who belied their lowly league position. But it was the Woods who are in the second qualifying round, where they will play at home to Pitching In Isthmian League South East Division side Cray Valley (PM) on Saturday week.

Northwood hit back from a two-goal deficit to draw their Emirates F.A. Cup First Qualifying Round tie at Binfield to earn a replay at The Skyline Roofing Stadium on Tuesday evening.

After a goal-less first half, the Berkshire side took a two-goal lead, Noah Chengun netting both, on 52 and 62 minutes, to leave the Woods flailing. But they hit back two minutes later when Harry Gallagher lashed the ball home. And the equaliser came in the 72nd minute when a short corner was played to Deago Dunbar-Bonnie, who hammered it home. So it's all back to Northwood...
