Northwood's poor run of Pitching In Isthmian League South Central results away at Marlow continued this afternoon when they slumped to a 0-3 defeat in the league's second versus first clash.

The Woods still lead the table, but Marlow now trail by just four points, having played one fixture fewer. After an even first half, the home side took the lead just before the interval, but Northwood struggled to get going in the second half and Marlow wrapped up the points with two late goals.

The Woods have been advised that following the withdrawal of Hanworth Villa from the Middlesex Senior Cup after they twice postponed our scheduled tie, the game has been awarded to Northwood and we progress into the quarter-finals of the competition.

Other clubs in the last eight are Brentford B, Southall, Harrow Borough, Enfield Town, Edgware & Kingsbury or Wealdstone, North Greenford or Hendon and Hampton & Richmond or Hayes & Yeading.

The Woods' weekend on the Channel Islands proved fruitful, as they came from behind to defeat Guernsey 2-1 in their Pitching In Isthmian League South Central fixture yesterday.

The home side had struggled to get results on their own patch, but they took an early lead against Northwood, were who made to battle hard to justify their league leading position. And justify it they did, with two goals in six second half minutes, Riccardo Alexander-Greenaway and James Gurteen getting on the scoresheet!

The Woods bounced back from defeat seven days ago to clinch a good 3-1 Pitching In Isthmian League South Central win against Leatherhead today at The Skyline Roofing Stadium. Following today's results, Northwood hold a six-points lead at the top of the league table!

It was a much improved performance from that last outing, and arrived with goals from Harry Gallagher (his first Woods goal), Juwon Akintunde (first league goal) and Sydney Ibie - 12th of the season!

The Woods slumped to a disappointing 0-1 Pitching In Isthmian League South Central defeat away to Middlesex rivals Uxbridge this afternoon.

It wasn't the best performance from Northwood, who lacked sharpness up front, and went down to a single goal defeat despite Uxbridge being reduced to ten men for the closing stages.

The Woods have been drawn to play Wealdstone of the National League at The Skyline Roofing Stadium in the second round of the Middlesex Senior Charity Cup. The date of the fixture is to be confirmed shortly.

The other ties are: Hanwell Town v Edgware & Kingsbury; Hampton & Richmond Borough v North Greenford; Broadfields United v Southall; Spelthorne Sports v CB Hounslow; FC Deportivo Galicia v London Samurai; St Panteleimon v Uxbridge and Ashford Town v Hanworth Villa.
