The Woods went down to a disappointing Pitching In Isthmian League South Central defeat versus Bedfont Sports at The Skyline Roofing Stadium this evening..

Northwood took the lead through Josh Helmore on 38 minutes, and the referee inexplicably chose not to award them a penalty when the same player was upended in the box just before the break. The man in black did however award a spot-kick to Bedfont in the second period to enable them to draw level before they grabbed a late winner.

Following a three-weeks break, the Woods finally got back into Pitching In Isthmian League South Central action this afternoon, and their rustiness showed as they were defeated 0-2 away to Leatherhead.

The home side went ahead just before the half-hour mark, adding a second goal ten minutes into the second period. A questionable red card issued to Brandon Kalu soon after made Northwood's hopes of getting back into the game more difficult, leaving the Woods to slip into third place in the league table.

Despite the club delaying the Pitching In Isthmian League fixture versus Binfield at The Skyline Roofing Stadium for 24 hours, the game has again been postponed as the referee has deemed the playing surface unfit.

The game is now scheduled to be played on Tuesday 7th March, kick-off 7.45 p.m., possibly subject to Middlesex Senior Cup commitments.

The Woods' Pitching In Isthmian League South Central Middlesex derby against Uxbridge this afternoon has been postponed as the playing surface at The Skyline Roofing Stadium is frozen following the low overnight temperatures.

The fixture will now be played on Tuesday 28th February, kick-off 7.45 p.m.

The club are delighted to announce the return of George Nicholas to the Woods!

George originally joined Northwood from Wealdstone in January 2013 and the midfielder quickly established his place in the side. He had made one League appearance for Notts County before being released in 2012.

He played 116 games for Northwood from 2013-16, scoring 15 times, before moving onto Harrow Borough, Potters Bar and then Hanwell Town, whom he helped to promotion through the play-offs last season.

Welcome back George, we feel that you will play a key part in the second half of the campaign, coming in at a crucial time!

Another game has fallen victim to the recent torrential rain, as this afternoon's Pitching In Isthmian League South Central fixture against Bedfont Sports at The Skyline Roofing Stadium has been postponed.

The fixture will now be played on Tuesday 31st January, kick-off 7.45 p.m.

The Woods' Middlesex Senior Cup quarter-final tie against Enfield Town at The Skyline Roofing Stadium this evening has been postponed as, not surprisingly, the playing surface is waterlogged.

The game will now be played on Tuesday 7th February, kick-off 7.45 p.m.

The Woods maintained their lead at the top of the Pitching In Isthmian League South Central table as they ran out 2-0 winners at Tooting & Mitcham United this afternoon.

The game was rain-affected, indeed the referee took the players off the pitch for a short spell due to a torrential storm. Jake Tabor opened the scoring for Northwood in the 43rd minute, with Riccardo Alexander-Greenaway adding number two on 67 minutes.

The Woods' 2023 got off to a disappointing start this afternoon at The Skyline Roofing Stadium, as Hanworth Villa took the points with a strong performance and a 4-1 victory.

It was the first-ever Isthmian League meeting between the clubs, and Villa led by two goals at the break, before they added two more in the second half. New signing Gareth Chendlik made his debut as a substitute, and netted from the penalty spot for a stoppage-time consolation.
