Woods race to 4-1 Bank Holiday victory against Binfield
Northwood chalked up their third successive victory of the nascent season when they were 4-1 Pitching In Isthmian League South Central winners against Binfield at The Skyline Roofing Stadium this afternoon.
It was a match that the Woods dominated throughout much of the ninety minutes, and they led by two goals at the break through Teddy Stacey and Dan Williams. Binfield did pull one back early in the second period, but the home side added further goals through Harry Gallagher and Kofi Anokye-Boadi - and the result could easily have been even more impressive. Kofi Anokye-Boadi received the Woods Man of the Match award in the C & G Scaffolding clubhouse.
Coincidentally the two clubs meet again in the Emirates F.A. Cup next Saturday, this time down in Berkshire, and manager Ben Bukowski will be looking for a similarly convincing performance then.

Woods drawn at home to Marlow in Velocity League Cup
Northwood have a home draw in the second round of the Velocity Isthmian League Cup, in which they will play Marlow on Tuesday 12th September, kick-off 7.45 p.m. Whilst the Woods received a first round bye, Marlow won 4-0 at Thatcham Town at that stage.
The Woods being without a fixture this afternoon due to the odd number of clubs in the division, but back at The Skyline on Monday afternoon, when Binfield are the Bank Holiday visitors.

Woods are drawn away in Emirates FA Cup first qualifier
In today's draw for the first qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup, Northwood's reward for seeing off Buckhurst Hill on Saturday is another away tie - against our fellow Pitching-In Isthmian League South Central members Binfield.
The game takes place on Saturday 2nd September - just five days after the Berkshire club visit The Skyline Roofing Stadium for a league encounter! The Pitching-In Isthmian League fixture at Hanworth Villa scheduled for that day will now be played on Tuesday 26th September.

Three new signings were confirmed before FA Cup tie
Three new signings were confirmed ahead of yesterday's Emirates FA Cup tie, and all three were part of the Woods' winning squad!
Ben Crowder, a member of the Woods Allied Counties Youth League squad, signed senior forms for the 2023-24 campaign, and picked up an assist on his debut last week.
Joining from National League side Aldershot Town, midfielder Archie Coulter had impressed during training and settled in well with the group, whilst Jaden Newman joined from Combined Counties Premier North side Wembley. The young forward impressed during the latter stages of pre season with some encouraging performances, scoring against Dagenham & Redbridge as a triallist.
We hope that all three players enjoy a successful time at Northwood!

95th minute goal wins Emirates FA Cup tie for Northwood
Dan Williams' 18 yard strike in the fifth minute of stoppage time gave the Woods a hard-fought Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round victory away to Buckhurst Hill of the Essex Senior League this afternoon.
The game was a real battle at times, but on chances Northwoood merited the late, late victory, and now await Monday's draw for the next round!

Northwood go out of the FA Youth Cup
Ryan Young's Woods Under 18s had a real battle this evening as they played their first competitive match of the season, finally going down 2-5 to Tring Athletic in an FA Youth Cup Preliminary Round tie at The Skyline Roofing Stadium.
Northwood hit back from a two-goal deficit to be level at the break with goals from Jeremy Scholz and Fabjan Toci, but it is Tring who will play Penn & Tylers Green in the next round after proving stronger in the second period. The match report is here.

Hat-trick for Osa as Woods hit Corinthian-Casuals for four
The new Pitching In Isthmian League South Central season got underway this afternoon, and a storming performance saw Northwood comprehensively defeat Corinthian-Casuals 4-0 at The Skyline Roofing Stadium.
Osaretin Otote led the way with a magnificent hat-trick, with Dan Williams netting the fourth goal. The Woods might have added a few more to their tally, whilst keeper Andrew McCorkell made a couple of great saves to keep the visitors at bay, as a good all-round team performance saw Northwood get off to a flyer!
