Ryan joined the Woods in November 2021 from Potters Bar Town, where he had been 2019. He started out in the Academy at QPR and has also played for Dunstable Town, Berkhamsted, Stotfold and Aylesbury FC.

Ryan was appointed Northwood Under 18s manager in May 2022, after which he concentrated on that responsibility.
