MATCH REPORTS 1968-69

Saturday 12th April 1969
NORTHWOOD’S DREADFUL HASH
NORTHWOOD 2  KINGSBURY COMMUNITY 2

Northwood made a dreadful hash of their home game with Kingsbury Community on Saturday, missing chance after chance in the first half and then finding themselves two goals down.

Dave Horsford pulled one back with a first-time shot, but Byrne and Gould missed easy chances.

Northwood attacked throughout the second period, but again squandered many chances before Paul Byrne bundled in the equaliser from Gregory’s centre.

Northwood Reserves fared better with a 4-1 win over Hanwell Town and now need only one point from four games to win their league, while the “A” team clinched their league championship with a 5-1 win over Alveston.
