NORTHWOOD SHOCK THE BIG BOYS
HOUNSLOW TOWN 0  NORTHWOOD 4

Northwood advanced a stage further in the Middlesex Intermediate Cup when they thrashed Hounslow Town 4-0 at Denbigh Road on Saturday.

The visitors scored first from a Ron Dodd free-kick after two minutes, and from then on completely dictated the play.

The Northwood defence, well marshalled by Brownlow, was superb, and repelled all attacks that Hounslow managed to stage.

Goal number two came when Paul Byrne headed home a Davie Sanders cross,  and half-time saw the score at 2-0.

The struggle continued in the second half, with the Northwood defence blotting out the Hounslow attack.

Byrne hit number three off a post after running through the Hounslow defence, and the fourth came when Gould and Sanders set up the perfect chance for Gregory.

Northwood are now in the last eight of the competition.
